Job Title: Fabric Engineer/Handyman (FM)
Location: Salisbury
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays
Overtime: AvailableAbout Our Client:We are excited to be recruiting for a well-established facilities management company that prides itself on delivering high-quality maintenance services to a variety of commercial properties. Our client is looking for a dedicated and skilled Fabric Engineer/Handyman to join their dynamic team in Salisbury.Job Description:As a Fabric Engineer/Handyman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our client’s site. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on building fabric, including carpentry, painting, plastering, and general building work.
- Responding promptly to reactive maintenance requests and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Assisting with minor plumbing and electrical work as required.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Working collaboratively with other team members and departments to provide a seamless service.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within facilities management.
- Strong skills in general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, and plastering.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Full UK driving license is desirable.
