We are looking for a skilled and experienced Facilities & Maintenance Engineer with electrical qualifications and proficiency in smart home technology to join an esteemed HNW family in London.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of the family’s multiple properties, as well as providing support at the central London office.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and approving providers and

contractors for services including security, parking, cleaning, catering,
and maintenance. * Management of allocated budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.

  • Carry out routine electrical inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues promptly.
  • Keep the surrounding grounds properly cared for and landscaped.
  • Interview and hire certain facility employees and contractors, such

as maintenance staff and janitorial services. * Handle administrative tasks, such as preparing reports for reporting

Line Manager. * Ensure the security of the building by researching and

implementing various security measures, such as surveillance
cameras or security staff members. * Install and maintain lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, and smart home devices.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in handling and troubleshooting smart home equipment.
  • Integrate new smart home technologies as needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in smart home systems
  • Execute general handyman tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance needs
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs and projects.
  • Travel to various properties owned by the family to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Provide maintenance support at the central London office.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining office equipment, including any smart office technology
  • Maintain clear communication with the family.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and schedules.

Entry Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience in HNW homes or Hotels as a Handyman with a focus on electrical maintenance.
  • BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFM) will be an advantage.
  • Electrical qualification/certification/NVQ is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and travel to multiple properties.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
