We are looking for a talented and experienced Factory Controller to join our Operations and Finance team in Milton, ON.As part of our team, you will be operating at the core of our business, where your financial skills will lead to better decision-making throughout the entire value chain. Within your field, you can work on a variety of assignments with a high level of responsibility – from reporting and analyzing business performance to ensuring bills are paid. You will be exposed to projects that develop your skills and allow you to progress your career. The Factory Controller will be responsible for the analysis of the TOR Factory Operations in Milton for plant results, maintenance costs and fixed cost in conjunction with the Grodan (GRD) Controller. This position will be a key support resource for Operations and Finance Management.   • Prepare financial data to initiate and support operating decisions and continuous improvement efforts. The Controller will be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and reporting for the operations area.
  • Generate Operations Reporting, conduct business analysis, reconciliation, and forecasts, and analyze actual results compared to budget and prior years for all factory and related activities.
  • Prepare annual standard costing and monitor actual versus standard deviation.
  • Monitor and control overall factory investment to align with group guidance, budget controlling, and project time controlling.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis support to the Operations and Finance team.

What you bring:

  • Accounting designation and a University Degree.
  • Understanding of business processes in manufacturing companies with over 3 years of experience in this area.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, including both general and cost accounting.
  • Experience with standard cost systems as well as systems for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work with a specific focus on deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and driven with a high level of commitment and energy.
  • Enjoy working in an entrepreneurial environment with problem-solving abilities and practical business sense.
