Your Opportunity:Reporting to the Manager in Child and Adolescent Addiction and Mental Health & Psychiatry Program (CAAMHPP), and in partnership with CBE, CSSD, and Woods Homes, this Transitions Program Family Counsellor position serves adolescents, and their families who present with complex and co-occurring mental health disorders and associated developmental, cognitive, behavioral and emotional issues, as well as academic difficulties. The position provides individual interventions, groups, case management, consultation, support to families and care-providers, and community resourcing. The position demands both clinical and systems expertise. As a member of a multidisciplinary team that works directly in schools, and within the context of family-centered care, the Family Counsellor completes assessments, provides timely service, facilitates the integration of services to provide optimal client care, advocates on behalf of clients, and assists with securing appropriate community resources and navigating systems. The candidate must have strong assessment and therapy skills and the proven ability to provide evidence-based treatment, as well as experience working with partnership organizations.Description:As a Family Counsellor, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up to clients and their families. You will also provide clinical focused consultation with other programs or community resources and acts as a liaison to develop and promote preventative health programs in the community. You will collaborate with other health care providers and community service providers to ensure a continuum of care in the community.

Required Qualifications:Completion of master’s degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college. Additional Required Qualifications:3-5 years recent post-degree experience working with Children and Adolescents. Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team. Experience working from a trauma-focused perspective. Experience in CBT, DBT and other evidence-based practices. Experience facilitating groups. Demonstrated Clinical Skills in assessment, formulation and intervention with children, adolescents and families. Preferred Qualifications:Level 1 & 2 training in Collaborative Problem Solving.
