What you will be doing:

The Field Applications Technician will be one of the primary technical resources for Rockfon’s internal and external customers. Working in conjunction with other members of the Technical Services Team and our other technical customer support team members, you will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and resolving customer issues related to installation, field conditions, etc. Additionally, you will be working closely with our Product Management Team to deliver technically oriented marketing collateral pieces.

What you bring:

·Minimum Associates Degree in Construction Management, Engineering Sciences or related discipline

·3+ years contracting experience within the ceiling industry.

·Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the commercial construction arena – including reading architectural drawings, bids, project schedules, change order processes and budgeting.

·The ability to trouble shoot installations of products and systems.

·Monitor and respond to technical questions submitted to the Technical Services via email or the Technical Services hotline.

·Determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customer’s needs.

·Manage cost avoidance for large scale projects.

·Identify and analyze product failures; order and identify replacement parts, components products as needed.

·Build an effective relationship with all key stakeholders.

·Assist in creation and updating of technical marketing collateral such as installation guides, installation videos, product datasheets and CAD details.

·Train internal and external customers as to proper installation methods for acoustical ceilings, suspension systems and metal ceilings.

·Build and install internal ceiling mockups as needed.

·Support Sales Team in customer presentations and visits

·Ability to travel within the US and Canada 50% of the time.
