The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.Position: Field Play Assistant
Location: Community Education Summer ProgramAssist the Field Play Supervisor with Field Play events which runs for 4 consecutive Tuesdays, beginning on July 8, 2025 through August 5, 2025 (which has been built-in as a rain date). Hours on the field each week are from 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm.
- Assist in facilitating the field schedule, age-appropriate activities for each week.
- Brainstorm ways to improve the program.
- Assist Supervisor in training coaching staff. Each week you have fifteen minutes with staff before participants arrive. Facilitate having staff assist in taking out and putting away equipment.
- Prepare student groups and staff assignments prior to the start of the season.
- Assist in managing the staff to ensure the program is being implemented properly and the staff is paired up to deliver the best program possible for the children,
- Perform other duties as required or directed.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
- Preference for candidates with a Physical Education or Fitness background.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
