As a Finance Supply Chain Analyst at J&J IM Canada, you will assume a vital role in overseeing the management of cost of goods sold (COGS) and gross profit analysis for the organization, together with Intercompany transactions with our R&D affiliates. Your responsibilities will encompass providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis to various stakeholders, actively identifying risks and opportunities, and contributing to value creation. Your role will involve presenting financial updates to Senior Management, both within and outside the Finance function, to ensure informed decision-making.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the cost of goods sold and gross profit consolidation and management for J&J IM Canada.
  • Provide accurate, timely and insightful financial analysis to business partners helping to actively identify risks & opportunities and drive value creation.
  • Present financial updates to Senior Management both inside and outside the Finance function.
  • Participate management meetings to proactively identify areas of potential upside/downside and understand variances (actual vs budget) in Gross Profit.
  • Enable profitable growth for the organization by understanding drivers of financial variances and play a lead role in the development of the Gross Profit Plan and Quarterly Calls.
  • Perform month end closing responsibilities including and work with partners to achieve targets.
  • Support projects including those to help identify, plan, and execute cost savings / avoidance and operational improvement projects.
  • Ensure that the principles and elements of the J&J Credo, business policies, Healthcare Compliance, Regulatory, GAAP, and Sarbanes Oxley are adhered to in all aspects.
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain and R&D partners, Global Services (GS), Tax and BU Center of Excellence (CoE) for budget and closing process and operating margin analysis.

Qualifications

  • University degree, preferably with a major in Accounting, Economics or Finance
  • Accounting/finance designation preferred.

Experience and Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to quickly learn new business software tools and applications is required.
  • Understanding of key costing concepts under US GAAP and transfer pricing principles
  • SAP or strong proficiencies in similar ERP systems is required.
  • Able to present complex information clearly and concisely to clients of all levels.
  • Able to perform sophisticated business and technical analyses and proven problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills to include formulas (VLOOKUPS) and pivot tables is required.
  • Continuous improvement approach with ability to adhere to tight deadlines while autonomously collaborating with partners.
