- Cloud engineering: Automation Workflows: Create and maintain automated workflows for financial processes, optimizing efficiency.
- Automate Data Retrieval: Develop scripts to gather financial data from various sources, including databases from across the Group and APIs.
- Error Handling: Implement robust error-handling mechanisms and debugging procedures.
- Data Storage: Manage data storage in SQL databases and ensure data integrity.
- Integration: Integrate automation solutions with existing financial systems and tools.
- Dashboarding & Visualization: Collaborate with business partners to provide valuable insights as the final step in the automation process.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of code and processes for future reference.
- Teamwork: Work together with various teams and communicate effectively with those involved.
Key Skills:Essential:
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to create efficient and effective automation solutions.
- Curiosity: Willingness to learn new languages and tools and apply them to finance & accounting processes.
- Architecture: Experience of Cloud Infrastructure, networking, and setup of secure connections between systems (particularly AWS).
- Automation Tools: Familiarity with workflow building tools such as Alteryx/UIPath & scheduling capability using cron.
- Version Control: Knowledge of version control systems such as GitHub for code collaboration and tracking changes.
- Testing and Debugging: Strong debugging skills to identify and resolve issues in code efficiently.

- Data Visualization: Understanding effective techniques, visual analytics, and selecting suitable visual representations for the dataset.
- Finance Domain Knowledge: A solid grasp of financial concepts and instruments is crucial for effectively automating financial tasks.
- Documentation: Good documentation skills to explain and maintain code for future reference.
- Database Management: Understanding of SQL databases for data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and individuals in the finance field.
