An excellent opportunity to join an expanding Fintech Financial Services firm.

This role will offer exposure to systems development and development of internal processes.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Finance Team Oversight:

– Serve as a role model, inspiring junior team members.

– Monitor and ensure timely completion of tasks with high standards.

– Maintain discipline and encourage a positive team culture.

– Provide line management, support, and foster individual development.

– Cultivate a culture of right-first-time standards within the team.

Financial and Tax Accounting:

– Assist with statutory accounting for group and individual financial statements.

– Support statutory reporting processes and year-end audits.

– Stay updated on financial reporting standards and regulations.

– Prepare detailed finance papers for auditors.

– Manage preparation, review, and compliance for tax returns.

Management Accounting:

– Lead monthly and annual management accounts close.

– Ensure proper control and review of accounting processes.

– Provide operational support and team management as needed.

Investor Reporting:

– Prepare/review SPV investor reports, journals, and reconciliations.

– Reconcile consolidated SPVs financial information monthly.

– Ensure up-to-date Investor Report templates and meet delivery deadlines.

Other Components:

– Lead systems and process improvements.

– Ensure timely payroll completion for Finance elements.

– Administer user for Finance operational and accounting systems.

– Support FP&A and Capital Markets projects.

– Provide ad-hoc support to Finance Director and Blue Senior Management.

– Maintain Company Secretarial items and ensure compliance.

Compliance and Regulation:

– Develop and maintain understanding of compliance requirements.

– Act in accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority’s Conduct Rules.

– Ensure good outcomes for customers in alignment with your role.

Person Specification:

– Chartered Accountant with significant post-qualification experience.

– Deep knowledge of Finance systems and processes.

– Strong understanding of systems, controls, and process efficiency.

– Excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills.

– Adaptable, flexible, and able to work with competing deadlines.

– Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

– Team player and leader with the ability to drive improvement.

– Self-starter with a sense of urgency and proactivity.

– Appreciates accuracy and attention to detail.

– Excellent MS Office skills; experienced ERP user.

Additional Requirements:

– Hybrid role with office and remote work.

– Flexibility for tasks outside the role’s remit or standard hours.

– Ongoing development through training may be required.
