POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Finance Supervisor, the Finance/Payroll Clerk L2 is responsible for for all procedures related to payroll and will compensate employees accurately and on time in accordance with legislation and the Agency’s Finance and Personnel Policy. This position requires organizational skills and strict confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of and experience with the principles and practices of accounting.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent Computer skills and experience is essential. A working knowledge of Networking Systems is required.
- Good working knowledge of and experience with time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must: a) provide a criminal record check prior to employment.
b) have a valid Ontario driver’s license
- This position does not require daily travel, however, if asked, must be available to travel.
- Be aware of the cultural environment in which Tikinagan Child and Family Services operates.
- Appropriate educational qualifications and/or equivalent combination of experience and training to manage the tasks and responsibilities of the position.
- Ability to communicate in one of the Tikinagan Child and Family Service catchment area dialects is preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process timesheets with balances, vacation, sick, cultural/wellness and CTO and update in payroll software
- Data entry of payroll entries into payroll software
- Answer inquiries from employees
- Process Record of Employments
- Ensure the Agency Finance Policies and Procedures are adhered to
- Maintain proper filing system for all payroll records
- Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
