Finance Systems AnalystOverall job purposeWe are hiring an experienced Systems and Reporting Analyst with essential Workday Finance experience.The successful candidate must have gained Workday experience including a full implementation cycle for Workday Financial and Financial planning and will possess relentless enthusiasm whilst evidencing an agile and commercial mindset.This role requires someone with systems and accounting knowledge who can decode complex requirements and translate those into standardised Workday business processes.They will have robust and thought-leading expertise in problem-solving, prioritisation and expectation management.Working closely with internal colleagues you will principally support the Finance configuration team and Subject Matter Experts. Initially focused on the development of Workset A and B configuration and process design covering R2R, O2C, P2P and Payroll but will also support the wider requirements (including HCM, Data, and solution Architecture) and the associated interdependencies.Responsibilities
- Provide advice and expertise to Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Identify financial and operational risks and recommend solutions or mitigations.
- Analyse data, including charts and tables to support proposal presentations and design decisions.
- Decode complex requirements and define requirement blueprints for the Workday Design, Change, Data flows and integrations.
- Evaluate iterative designs and proactively propose adaptations to achieve the optimum processes for data and user flows.
- Input into product reviews, and nurture SME and vendor relationships.
- Identify robust Finance and payroll testing scenarios and user stories.
- Fully involved in testing against process blueprints.
- Contribute to the Workday training content for SMEs and Internal Workday specialists.
- Work in collaboration with the wider project team.
Professional and Personal Qualities
- Workday implementation experience (including FINS)
- Finance experience (understands key financial principles).
- A credible individual with excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to negotiate and prioritise conflictingdemands.
- Focused and resilient to achieving deadlines or resolving problems.
- Strong IT skill set with advanced experience in Microsoft applications (experience in data manipulation and automation software would be preferred)
