These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.What you’ll do:Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for accounting and reporting for the International Division of the Flutter Group. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in working with Flutter Brands in the creation of month end accounts for our business units in addition to their responsibilities for external financial reporting obligations. In addition to this, the successful candidate will be involved in the implementation of enhanced processes and controls in line with the Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX), to support our NYSE listing.Key ResponsibilitiesTake primary responsibility for the reliability and integrity of the underlying financial informationClose month end processes within required timelines for assigned channels including working with local brand finance teams to deliver monthly reportingStandardise and automate where possible to improve month end timelinesBuild close relationships with brand local Finance teams to enable on time delivery of accurate monthly and quarterly reportingAssist in system implementation, fast close and acquisition projectsMaintain and document compliance with internal control and SOX requirementsAssist with the preparation of quarterly Group reporting packsPerform specific ad-hoc reviews and other tasks as requiredWhat you’ll bring:Essential:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)An ability to deliver high quality work under pressure of tight reporting deadlines.Good team player but should be able to work independently.Excellent time management and communication skills, both written and verbal.A driven, energetic and proactive individual who has a desire for continuous improvement and advancement.A person who is comfortable in navigating multiple finance systems and tools to deliver reportingAn individual who has experience in process improvement projectsDesirable:Experience working in a SOX regulated environment or highly regulated industry.US GAAP accounting experiencePrior knowledge of Oracle accounting packages, systems implementation experience highly desirableExperience working in the finance department of a multinational environment with multiple cultures and ways of workingWhy choose us:Aside from a generous base salary, we have a fantastic benefits & rewards program that is designed to encourage personal and career development.Discretionary annual performance bonus30 days paid leaveHealth and dental insurance for you, your partner and your children (if you all live at the same address)Personal life insurance and income protectionThe option to join our company pension schemeA personal interest allowance to let you learn something new or pursue a hobbyExternal learning support of up to £2,000 or equivalent in local currency, dedicated 4 learning “Power Hours” every month during office time, full access to the Udemy and Mindtools platforms, in-house leadership program and many other training opportunities for developing your skills and progressing your careerLooking to extend your family?
