Clare, Ireland, is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant. This role is a permanent contract with the flexibility of hybrid working.Working as part of the ExM finance team, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the accounting functional of a large Multinational Pharma Organisation.Based on your function, department or individual position, you will have the opportunity to discuss with your Manager the option to work remotely up to 50% of the time, over a two-week period, with the flexibility to choose the days that align with your collaboration needsKey Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of standard costs for product portfolios within ExM plants.
  • Key role in the month-end and year-end closing processes. Preparation of monthly journals and analysing financial data.
  • Inventory Controls – Offsite Tolling Reconciliations and ensuring compliance with corporate policies & procedures and GAAP.
  • Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in Preparation & Timely Submission of Projections & Budgets.
  • Liaising with auditors in relation to SOX, Internal & External Audits
  • Providing financial and analytical support to External Manufacturing (ExM) Organisation for on-going business requirements and strategic initiatives.
  • Respond to ad-hoc information requests from local and global business partners and support any new projects that arise.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • A qualified accountant or part qualified accountant looking to gain experience in industry.
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team in a complex, changing environment to deliver value-added results.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively within the team and with business partners and have an excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills with excellent knowledge of MS Excel are required.
  • A working knowledge of SAP is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP as well as local accounting principles.
  • Ability to maintain strict internal controls according to BMS policies and legal requirements.
