Job description
We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join The Bedford College Group at our Tresham College Campus, Kettering
As a Financial Accountant you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- managing, supporting and mentoring direct reports ensuring they are kept informed of all deadlines and ensure that these deadlines are achieved in a timely manner
- ensuring all monthly processes are complete and in accordance with the month end timetable
- ensuring that the month end balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely manner with clear narrative explaining outstanding balances
- reviewing processes and procedures ensuring these are live and relevant and support with the modernisation agenda.
- maintaining the 12-month rolling cashflow and prepare balance sheet forecasts
- producing cashflows and balance sheets for the future year budgets and statutory returns
Ideal candidates will have experience of staff management and development experience including recruitment, selection, objective setting, appraisals and managing performance within a busy accounting function, applying financial controls, alongside the following qualifications:
- Finalist CCAB
- Good standard of general education

About The Bedford College Group
The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
