If you are a talented and experienced Financial Accountant, Aplin has the right opportunity for you! Our Calgary-based client is looking to fill a nine month contract role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial analysis of operating expenses, in particular, employee costs
- Provide reporting on employee costs by region, portfolio, etc.
- Assist with the annual business plan and quarterly forecasts as they relate to employee costs
- Oversee the accounting and processing of payroll related accounts
- Complete bank account reconciliations
- Support the month end close process
- Support payroll and benefit invoice reconciliation process
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- An accounting designation is an asset
- Strong Excel skills – able to manipulate large volume of data using pivot tables and power queries
- Critical thinker with the ability to organize, analyze and reconcile data
- Accuracy and attention to detail
