I’m partnered with the Controller at a multi-billion dollar manufacturing company located near Worth, IL. With a large presence on a global scale, this growing company has an excellent opportunity for someone to join and gain tons of exposure to the month-end process, assist in ad hoc budgeting and analysis requests, and more! They are in full growth mode right now, looking to double the size of the company over the next few years. With that being said, they are now looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team!

  • Highly visible role, collaborating with senior leaders and reporting to Director

Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end close, including the completion of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in the management of financial statement preparation and month-end and quarterly close
  • Oversee the completion of monthly consolidation financial packets for senior leadership
  • Collaborate with internal and external audits, generating audit expense reports
  • Perform key accounting procedures including month-end closing, financial statement preparation, fixed assets, and more
  • Prepare various states sales and use taxes
  • Complete and review monthly account reconciliations, including variance analysis
  • Carry out monthly bank reconciliations
  • Regularly maintains detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
  • Lead the reconciliation of all intercompany foreign accounts
  • Assist in the creation of monthly entries on a global scale to close the international books
  • Collaborate with internal and external tax team in the preparation of tax returns

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • MBA or CPA a plus
  • Manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting
  • Experience working with inventory analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Statements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
