Financial Accounting Responsibilities

(U.S GAAP experience required)

· Hold relationships within the organization that allows management of, and adherence to, the monthly financial close process and schedule.

· Understand and prepare monthly/quarterly close related recurring entries and supporting schedules for:

o 401K

o PP&E depreciation

o Payroll

o G&A

o Debt and interest payments

o Derivatives

o ASC 842 lease

o Others as required

· Perform reclass/correction entries as needed.

· Assist in the development and review of accounting policies.

· Perform reconciliations, understand, and execute any needed entries:

o Balance Sheet accounts

o Monthly bank reconciliations

· Identify initiatives for cost reductions, efficiency gains, and process improvements.

Financial Reporting

· Preparation of financial reporting statements, supporting schedules and disclosures. (internal/external)

· Perform variance analysis.

· Assist with the company’s external auditors’ requests.

· Identify and manage opportunities to automate reporting and analysis processes.

Special projects

As determined

· Minimum of 5 years financial accounting experience

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry

· Big four or public accounting experience a plus

· COPAS experience a plus

· Experience with ASC 842 a plus

· Experience with W Energy a plus

· Proficient Excel skills required

· Experience with Microsoft Power BI a plus

· Experience working in a growing start up environment strongly preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business required

· Flexibility to grow and change with company needs

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
