Further information is available at .POSITION SUMMARY:As a key member of the Carfair Composites accounting department, your duties will include tasks that assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statement package & costing duties as well as providing general support within the organization to operations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Preparation of the monthly financial reporting package for designated plant(s)
- Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries
- Various costing duties including work order review and close; maintaining accurate standard costs in Oracle
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitoring and reconciliation of the bank activity
- Customer collections
- Preparation of weekly reports on key metrics
- Variance investigation
- Assisting with ad-hoc reports and projects for finance and operations
- Enforcing internal controls over the financial statements Preparation of required tax reports
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support finance and operations
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 2+ years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Oracle are desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to set priorities and organize workloads
- Ability to function within a manufacturing environment
- Office physical requirements – sitting, standing, and walking
