Job SummaryJob DescriptionJoin a well-established team for a highly rewarding long term career opportunityWhat is the opportunity?The RBC Dominion Securities Niagara Falls branch is currently seeking an experienced financial planner to join a successful Chairman’s council team. This is a relationship management role working directly with a group of high net worth clients, providing exceptional service, advice and comprehensive investment management and wealth management services. Identifying and assisting in the growth of new business opportunities is recommended, but not necessarily the main objective of the role. You must have a genuine passion for helping people reach their financial goals, and for working as a part of a team.What will you do?Manage and build long-term relationships with affluent and high net worth clients and their familiesWork with an established team of internal experts and external advisors to coordinate/advise on all aspects of a client’s wealth management needs (financial planning, investments, banking, insurance, will & estate planning)Working within a diligent investment strategy framework, provide investment management services through regular portfolio reviews, and rebalancing, making recommendations and developing client projections to deliver customized client solutionsWork with an exceptional support team to follow a service plan for proactive and a high level of client service; constant direct client contact in person, and by phone and video.Identify opportunities for asset consolidation and referralsBuild strong relationships within the community, local partners and centers of influenceWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-have5 years or more of professional experience within the investment industry in a client facing role (other relevant experience may be considered)Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) (or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire date)Post-secondary degreeExceptional written and verbal communication skills in EnglishPassion for building client relationships and providing a high level of advice and serviceAttention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skillsNice-to-haveCertified Financial Planner or Personal Financial Planner designation, a definite assetChartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation, a definite assetOther designations (accounting, Chartered Financial Analyst) an assetWhat’s in it for you?
