Job Summary You will be joining the market leader of Canadian banking in growing Commercial Financial Services, providing end-to-end industry solutions. As the credit expert in the market, you will collaborate with a high performing team of Commercial Account Managers to deliver on the strategic business priorities of revenue growth and improving the client experience to meet the credit needs of clients. Your support as a strategic partner to the Commercial & Agriculture Account Managers managing the credit process will enable enhanced client-facing time.Job DescriptionWhat will you do?

  • Complete the analysis and documentation required for new or increased credit transactions, advise on complex annual renewals and aid Commercial Account Managers with portfolio management and compliance support
  • Provide quality business analysis and credit advice through presentation options that clearly articulate advantages and benefits to the client
  • Demonstrate RBC’s capability to provide creative financial solutions in a timely manner and deliver credit solutions that meet or exceed needs
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and collaboration by coaching, mentoring and assisting colleagues to meet the needs of all clients
  • Exercise due diligence in recommending credit applications, working in collaboration with Risk Management, especially in supporting risk processes and guidelines

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • Proven superior analytical and technical Commercial credit skills and thrive in supporting sales colleagues in new client acquisition and revenue growth through superior portfolio quality
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial lending in a financial institution; previous experience may include roles as the Group Risk Manager, Commercial Account Manager, or Commercial Credit Advisor & Analyst
  • Strong business and financial acumen and are analytical and articulate about both subjects
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting time sensitive deadlines
  • Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e., web based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications)
  • Minimum post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce, Business Administration or related experience

  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Specialized industry expertise in a past role (Agriculture)
  • Accounting designation (CPA/CA/CGA/CMA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
