FIRE/ RESCUE COORDINATOR – (Permanent, Full-time)NATURE OF POSITION: Hiring one (1) Fire/Rescue Coordinator to work under the general supervision of the Senior Manager of Public Safety Services. The Fire/Rescue Coordinator provides operational support, coordination, training and expertise on fire/rescue operations and life safety programs. The work is primarily in support of Regional District fire/rescue services coordination, fire prevention and emergency preparedness objectives.The position will support enhancements to volunteer fire service coordination and increase access to public life safety education and emergency preparedness programs. This role includes but is not limited to the delivery of fire prevention outreach, fire service training coordination, logistical support to operational response issues, development and implementation of operating guidelines and coordination of inventory purchasing and tracking.RATE OF PAY: $38.93 per hour (January 1, 2024 rate)DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: As set out in the job description.BENEFITS: In accordance with the Collective Agreement with C.U.P.E.
