  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons that cover a range of topics, including cooking techniques, nutrition, and food safety, across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages practical learning and creativity.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress through practical assessments and written evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Food Technology curriculum and participate in cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, such as cooking clubs, competitions, and food-related events, to enrich students’ learning experiences.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree or qualification in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of food science, nutrition, and culinary skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
