Who we are looking forState Street Global Market’s Front Office Trading Services(FOTS) team is looking for a Business system analyst within its London based team. FOTS team provides support across the globe (North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific) for State Street Global Market’s FX Sales & Trading Desks and acts as the primary liaison for external and internal clients. In addition to trading support and client services, the team works closely with Operations groups and participates on projects related to new trading initiatives, testing and implementation planning.Why this role is important to usThe team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Markets (SSGM). As our investment research and trading arm, SSGM’s number one goal is to enhance and preserve our clients’ portfolio values by applying technology, optimizing trading, and linking asset classes and markets across the world.Join us if making your mark in the capital markets industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.What you will be responsible forAs Front Office Trading Services, Officer you willKey Responsibilities/Skills & Knowledge/ QualificationAssist SSGM Sales & Trading with trade support and related responsibilitiesResearch and resolve trade related inquiries from Sales and Trading, back office, fund groups, and clientsMonitoring SSGM’s trading systems and address/resolve issues with appropriate escalations.Cancelling, modifying, and rebooking of tradesSupporting Algo, eFX, StreetFX and IndirectFX client onboarding (Front Office components) and performing pricing validations for SSGM’s indirect FX activityCommunicate and maintain strong working relationships with multiple departments (Trading, Operations, Finance, IT, third party vendors) to resolve breaks and trade discrepancies on a time sensitive basis.Participate in various projects that require involvement with end to end testing of new functionality or future supportUnderstand the intricacies of manual and/or exceptional processes on the FX desk and work with IT, Credit & Compliance, Operations and Business Analysis teams to improve process inefficienciesBe a great team player communicating and collaborating with the local and overseas member working as one global teamLiaise with Client Support Services team with queries relating to the on-boarding of new business.Produce reporting for clients and internal use.Strictly follow the controls and procedures to reduce risk to Business.What we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this roleExcellent communication, interpersonal and relationship skillsStrong willingness to learn systems, processes and new technical skillsAbility to work as part of a team and under own initiative as wellAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsVery strong attention to detailEducation & Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or Finance.3-5 years of ExperienceSome technical experience involving but not limited to FIX, Linux, querying databases(like Oracle)Some financial services industry and exposure to foreign exchange is preferredSome Client facing is preferred but not requiredAbout State StreetWhat we do.
