I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team, experts in finance, speak your language and operate in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll professions.I am looking for a fund accounting analyst for my client, an investment SME. This is a hybrid permanent position.Responsibilities:Accounting and financial reporting:Analyze the various transactions relating to investment funds and prepare all related accounting up to the preparation of financial statements.
Ensure bookkeeping of investment funds: prepare end-of-month accounting entries and monitor transactions between affiliated companies, etc.
Prepare quarterly/annual financial reports for private investment funds provided to partners, prioritizing a high level of quality of financial information while respecting established deadlines.
Acquire a good understanding of the legal documents governing investment funds in order to ensure compliance with them.
Respond to requests for ad hoc information from internal and external partners related to the accounting and performance of investment funds.
Prepare files and manage year-end audit work for certain investment funds.
Prepare various financial analyzes required by the Finance team Manager(s).Treasury:Manage the cash flow of investment funds, including opening bank accounts, monitoring credit facilities, cash flow analyses, projections, etc.
Prepare cash flow analyzes on a regular basis to ensure sound management at the request of the team.
Prepare cash flow analyzes in connection with capital calls and remittances, including distributions to the general partner.Taxes:Participate in the preparation of investment fund income tax returns, the issuance of tax slips and related documents related to partnerships.
Actively participate in preparing financial information as part of various tax mandates.
Prepare compliance-related documents to satisfy Canadian, US and other jurisdictions tax authorities as applicable.Other functions :Participate in the implementation of a new accounting system.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies implemented by the company.
Provide the necessary administrative and accounting support required by his duties.Bachelor of Accounting.
CPA accounting title, an asset.
1 to 3 years of relevant experience in accounting.
Experience in financial services or investment funds, an asset.
Demonstrated experience analyzing accounting data and producing reports.
Strong skills with the Microsoft Suite, including Excel.
Bilingual (French and English), both written and spoken.
Ability to work independently and have critical thinking.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage deliverables simultaneously.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Interest in process automation and use of the latest technologies.PROCESS: First interview with Bianka Zacard, Recruitment Team Leader then with the Fund Accounting Manager
