Coordinate and prepare fund and investment performance benchmark reports with information relating to the fund’s investment strategies. Support the Fund Manager and team in managing the funds under management and its investment partners in line with the strategy.What will you do?

  • Maintain fund financial models underpinning the investment strategies, which may include updating the fund model with actual results, and accounting data
  • Support the Fund Manager accurately forecast investment returns and cash flow available on a continual basis
  • Support and coordinate the preparation of periodic fund reporting, internal and external valuations, business planning which may include preparing performance reporting for investors and boards, collating economic assessment analysis for senior Investment Management staff and market research
  • Accurately monitoring the performance of existing individual funds and investments as directed to verify the accuracy of reports and financial data
  • Conduct adhoc scenario analysis and financial sensitivities underpinning recommendations as directed by the Fund Manager
  • Provide support on fund transactions, recapitalisations and debt financing

You will bring

  • The role requires high attention to detail and the application of concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialised training or considerable “on the job” experience. Exercises independent judgement within defined parameters.
  • Takes initiative to identify solutions to issues that are generally defined (but not always immediately evident) and require problem-solving.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Corporate Finance or Property Finance.
  • Financial modelling and analytical skills with the ability to create, amend and test financial models and forecasts may be combined with some experience in financial modelling software such as Argus
  • Strong attention to detail and superior organisational and planning skills
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to prepare business reports for a range of stakeholders.
  • May have experience and/or knowledge of financial services and property management industries, investment management principles, and relevant accounting and tax regulations and legislation.
