The Fund-Raising Officer (Legacy) NO-A level in the PFP area, in the Country Office of Chile, reports to the Individual Donors Officer who is at the NO-C level.
As our donor database grows and excellent results achieved by legacy channel in recent years, we need to maximize the legacies strategy in terms of cultivate and look for new hight- level strategic partners, to reach new audiences in the market and optimize journeys, inside our donor data base, for potential handraisers.
This officer will develop and implement the strategy under the direct supervision of the Individual Donors Specialist NO-C and in direct collaboration with the Retention Officer NO-A and the Digital Fundraising Officer NO-A.
On the other hand, this position will be responsible of the Major donor strategy. He/she will oversee executing the implementation and monitoring campaigns for these new audience.
Under the close supervision of the Individual Donors Officer, the incumbent will be in charge of raising global RR and OR from legacies and mayor donor.
The main objective is to develop and implement the strategy to engage with target audience to identify, cultivate and solicit potential bequest supporters, and steward current bequestors, using direct and database marketing skills.

How can you make a difference?

1. Implement the strategy and work plan of the Legacies area in coherence with the UNICEF international strategy, establishing potential prospects inside or outside the UNICEF database and budget execution and major donors.
2. Implement and execution of annual the legacies and major donor plan; objectives, metrics and KPIs, etc.
3. Developing content and creative for the legacy and mayor donor campaigns and nurturing
4. Enhancing the legacy supporter experience and promote activities that inspire, engage and nurture people towards legacy giving to UNICEF
5. Respond requests for information from people interested in legacies.
6. Provide technical support to negotiation and agreements with suppliers.
7. Propose training and motivation schemas for outsourced human resources.
8. Establish and manage a network of partners such as notaries, lawyers, insurance companies, etc., with the purpose of strengthening the legacy strategy in Chile.
9. Regular monitoring and evaluation activities are undertaken according to the work plan to ensure maximum impact and continuous improvement of individual fundraising efforts. Results and reports are prepared and shared on a timely basis.
10. Research, synthesize and compile qualitative and quantitative data and information to facilitate preparation of reports, objectives, activities, etc.
11. Administrative tasks and responsibilities are effectively carried out and delivered.
12. Provide technical support to search and evaluate potential suppliers, prepare terms of reference for quotations. Follow up quotation process.
13. Prepare documentation for in CRC and other administrative mechanisms in those cases related to administrative issues.
 
The proposed post will help the expansion legacies and major program by:
 
• Recommend and follow strategies to acquired legacies
• Recommend and follow strategies to acquired major donors
• Implement innovative and cost-effective marketing strategies.
• Analyze relevant data to be included into the PFP plan.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • University Degree in Marketing, communication or Business Administration or related field studies; preferably supplemented by management, advertising, sales or related areas training or university courses in these areas.
  • A minimum of one of relevant professional experience in marketing, digital marketing, communication, digital campaigns, publicity, Business Administration, fundraising or another relevant field is required.  Hands-on technical expertise in a multi-channel campaign environment is highly desirable Hands on technical experience in Legacy program is desirable.
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergencies is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • Additional requirements: Chilean Nationality is Required for this position. National Professional Officers are nationals of the country in which they are serving, and their functions must have a national context, i.e. functions that require national experience or knowledge of the national language, culture, institutions, and systems
