Our campus hosts students from up to 70 countries, all following the rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program within a vibrant residential and co-curricular environment.The Future Pathways Office Assistant will support the counselors in the Future Pathways Office by providing support to the students and director for documents, application tasks, visiting representatives, and virtual presentations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, assisting in developing and implementing programs that help students achieve their higher education and post-graduation goals.Benefits

Position ResponsitibliesKey Responsibilities
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with the Future Pathways Office’s daily operations, including managing communications, scheduling appointments, and organizing events.
- Maintain and update student records and databases.
- Coordinate logistics for university visits, workshops, and counseling sessions.
- Student Support:
- Help with research information and resources to students regarding university applications, scholarships, and financial aid.
- Assist students in preparing and proofreading resumes, personal statements, application essays, and other application materials.
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Support the planning and execution of career fairs (new), university visits, and guest speaker events (new).
- Promote events through various channels, including social media, newsletters, announcements, and school communication systems.
- Assist with event setup, registration, and follow-up.
- Assist with setting up, registration, and management of SAT/PSAT testing
- Research and Data Analysis:
- Conduct research on university programs, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities.
- Compile and analyze data to assist in evaluating program effectiveness and student outcomes.
- Marketing and Communications:
- Help design and implement content for the Future Pathways google classroom, social media platforms, and newsletters.
- Assist in developing strategies to explore and engage new opportunities.
- Collaboration and Outreach:
- Work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, staff, and administrators to support student success.
- Participate in online conferences and counselor visit programs to learn about global university counseling practices.
- Assist in the annual review of marketing collateral such as the school profile, board reports, social media updates, and annual reports for senior leadership.
- Distributive Leadership
- Participating and contributing to committee or task force assignments, providing leadership in campus-wide events or initiatives, strategic planning efforts, in the experiential education program, the dormitories, dining hall, and/or physical plant initiatives.
- Initiating strategic discussions and sharing thoughtful and innovative ideas with your co-workers to carry out the UWC mission and successfully complete day-to-day work assignments.

Position QualificationsQualifications
- Recently graduated from a degree program in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences).
- Previous experience working with High School Students, ideally international students
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Google Suite, specifically Google Calendar, Sheets, Groups, Chats, and Drive. No Google Classroom but similar LMS
- Comfortable using various digital tools and platforms, such as Veracross or other student information systems, LinkedIn, AI, Learning Management Systems, and application management tools like Naviance or Maia Learning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, staff, and external partners.
- Knowledge of processes for transcripts, visas, and other official documents.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
- Previous experience in residential schools, international schools, or UWC.
