Overview:Welcome to the Games Global world. We’re changing the rules of the game. Providing 1,300+ exclusive games from some seriously talented studios and not to mention a record-breaking progressive jackpot network, we help operators level up and create their perfect lobby.We are on the lookout for a Game Artist Level 1 to join Switch Studios in Ipswich. Switch Studios are an established developer of high-quality online games. We are one of thirty-five studios that form the backbone of Games Global, one of the foremost providers of online gaming in the world. The Art team is responsible for, and specialize in, production of high-quality art, animation, and cinematic trailers for the studio.The execution of high-quality art projects by leveraging a broad range of skills and expertise. You will be collaborating closely with cross-functional teams ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. You will be self-motivated to stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technology advancements, and continually develop your skills to enhance the ability to deliver exceptional work. Responsibilities:
- Execute high-quality 2D projects, ensuring that they meet or exceed stakeholder expectations and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, artists, game designers, and team leads, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Actively stay up to date with industry trends and technology advancements, and
continuously develop skills to enhance ability to deliver exceptional work.
- Collaborate with the Game Design Team and the Head of Product to develop and refine design concepts and provide creative input to the project vision.
- Work with development leads to develop project estimates.
- Interact with peers within the department and cross-functionally with other departments.
- Be able to identify potential technical challenges ahead of time and provide accurate timelines for project completion. Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in 2D design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
- Excellent artistic skills and a strong understanding of composition, colour theory, and visual storytelling.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
- 1+ years of professional experience in 2D art production.
- An understanding of game design principles and mechanics.
- Experience with Blender 3D software.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer graphics, Digital Art, or related field.
