You will

  • Ensure project implementation
  • Ensure the day-to-day operations of projects and other activities of the Gender and Peacemaking Programme
  • Development of concept notes and design projects for gender-sensitive peacemaking projects
  • Conduct regular monitoring of donor policy priorities and funding opportunities
  • Maintain communication with donors and ensure compliance and implementation of projects in line with donor implementation
  • Contribute to the Institute’s implementation of its Gender and Peacemaking Strategy 2.0 by drafting Guidance Notes for personnel and conducting staff learning sessions; giving ad-hoc advice for gender mainstreaming and collecting relevant data to measure implementation of the GPM Strategy 2.0
  • Monitor relevant international and EU policy developments linked to the Women, Peace and Security field and develop knowledge, expertise and relationships with key stakeholders
  • Prepare briefings and reporting material to Senior Management Team as well as the Institute’s Board

Profile

  • University degree in gender studies with an international focus, international relations, conflict resolutions, or related field
  • 4 years of work experience in the international or EU field, 2 spent in the field of Women, Peace and Security agenda, gender mainstreaming or gender-sensitive conflict resolution
  • Perfect command of English
  • Experience working with the Women, Peace and Security Agenda
  • Knowledge of and experience in working with gender mainstreaming within an international NGO, strategy implementation and gender mainstreaming support to colleagues
  • Experience providing gender training and conveying knowledge to a diverse audience
  • Excellent knowledge of project cycle management and in budget management
  • Legally entitled to work in Belgium
