The duties of the General Accountant include conducting the Division’s general accounting operations such as payroll, receivables, and payables in a precise and time-bound manner. The ideal candidate is expected to exhibit strong integrity, accountability, and hands-on involvement in daily functions, along with superior communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.Key Duties:

• Processing and monitoring the receivables and payables, along with overseeing overdue balance collection.

• Conducting the end monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting periods’ closure and reconciliation of all accounts.

• Managing the Capital Asset register and Construction in Progress account, and computing monthly depreciation.

• Overseeing the payroll, updating changes in records, processing weekly payroll, bonuses, and other compensations.

• Identifying and rectifying discrepancies or conflicts.

• Ensuring adherence to established procedures and compliance with legal regulations.

• Assisting the Controller with accounting and financial matters, including audits and account analyses.

• Preparing reports and maintaining organized records.

• Interacting with and securing the accounting systems for processing payroll and receivables.

• Involvement in the division’s financial operation’s control and administration.

• Maintaining utmost confidentiality of financial and employee data.

Qualification:

• A degree in Accounting is necessary.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in general accounting with payroll and internal reporting.

• Experience in general ledger and bank reconciliations.

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or payroll systems.

• Strong Excel skills, particularly VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
