Immediate need for General Accountant in the Etobicoke area!
MUST COME FROM CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY!!
1. Accounting Responsibilities
- Monthly financial statements to T/B for management purposes
- Various monthly financial reports related to construction/project management
- Assist with preparation of year end packages for CFO and external auditors
- Oversee team in AP, AR and payroll.
- Provide support where required for back log in AP and AR
- Monthly cash flow projections
- Review of monthly receivables and collections as required
- Tracking of billings
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Weekly cash projections
- Reconciliation of credit card statements and submitting to CFO for payment.
- Prepare and remit company T5018.
- Prepare HST reports to CFO for review and payment
- Set up and maintain payables files for all companies
- Ensure payables area allocated correctly and paid within terms
- Analysis of overhead costs and invoices
- Set up and maintain GL codes for all companies
- Performs reconciliation for all inter-company accounts and prepares necessary adjusting entries. Prepares monthly depreciation and accrual entries.
- Verify holdback report each month
- Prepares job costing reports and calculates work in progress on all open jobs. Prepares journal entries and reversals for the following month.
