Salary Available on Application7 sessions a weekWestern Vale Family Practice is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 7 sessions a week on a 912 month fixed-term contract (to cover maternity leave from September 2025), with the potential to transition into a permanent position in Spring 2026.We are a well-established, forward-thinking practice supporting a diverse patient population in a semi-rural setting.This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking for a fulfilling role with flexibility, strong clinical MDT support, and the chance to become a long-term member of our thriving practice.Main duties of the jobTo work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the contract.Furthermore, the post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.About usThe team at Western Vale Family Practice are a friendly caring team who are proud to offer high standards of patient-centred healthcare.We provide healthcare to a patient population of over 13,500+ patients across the Western Vale of Glamorgan. We also undertake the vocational training of General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists, Medical Students.Our main site, which is also our administration centre, is in the purpose- developed Health Centre in Cowbridge, and we have branch surgeries in Llantwit Major Health Centre and St Athan.We offer a range of NHS and Private services in the Practice via our multidisciplinary and highly skilled team. We currently have five GP Partners, three Salaried GPs, two Practice Pharmacists and a Cluster Pharmacist, two Advanced Nurse Practitioners, four Practice Nurses, a Healthcare Support Worker and two Pharmacy Technicians .
