We seek a motivated and collaborative surgeon to support our mission of improving the health and well-being of all.As a General Surgeon at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH), you will be vital in providing comprehensive surgical care for our patients. This position includes critical care, trauma services, bread-and-butter general surgery, endoscopy, and wound care. You will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of patients and families while enjoying the benefits of rural living and a supportive work environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of general surgical procedures, including inpatient and outpatient surgeries, thoracentesis, and paracentesis procedures.
  • Provide endoscopic services, including EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy) and colonoscopy.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Participate in a 1:3 call rotation to ensure continuous surgical coverage for the community.
  • Build strong relationships with patients and staff in a small-town setting.

Qualifications

  • Board Certification/Board Eligibility in General Surgery is required.
  • Proficient in both general surgery and endoscopy procedures.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Vermont
