Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. As a Junior Production Geologist, you will play a key role in optimizing ore extraction at the Brucejack Mine by providing geological expertise and support. Your work will directly impact grade control, production efficiency, and mine planning, ensuring the successful execution of geological programs.As Part of Our Team, You Will

  • Collect, document, and analyze geological data to support mine planning and optimize ore extraction
  • Conduct underground geological mapping and muckpile assessments to ensure effective grade control
  • Interpret geological structures, drill core, and reverse circulation data
  • Track and report daily production ore movement, compiling grade control sample data to generate Stope Assay Reports and Ore/Waste recommendations
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support mine planning
  • Prepare and present geological plans and reports, providing insights on underground structures and formations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in geology processes and systems
  • Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and compliance with all health and safety regulations

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role

  • BSc. Degree in Geology or Geological Engineering (completed or currently enrolled)
  • Working towards a registration with EGBC
  • Underground mine production geology experience (1-3 years)
  • Proficiency in computer programs (Vulcan, AutoCAD, MapInfo, and Excel)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with grade control and production monitoring in epithermal deposits

  • Travel allowance and transportation arrangements included
  • Rotational schedule: 13 days on / 13 days off
  • 12-hour shifts, physically demanding role in extreme weather conditions

We are now recruiting for the position of Junior Geologist Production, with a competitive annual base salary of $91,800 – 122,400 + 15% short term incentives. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity.
