The successful Global Health Consultant will work with my client’s senior leadership and administrative colleagues to ensure the effective execution of the logistical, administrative and strategic policy, campaigning and communications aspects of client accounts in health.The position is full-time and will be based in London. Flexibility for travel to Saudi Arabia will be expected as part of the role.Main Duties and Responsibilities for the successful Global Health Consultant

  • Lead on the project management, strategy and deployment of project tasks with the senior leadership team and manage the implementation process.
  • Experience in global health themes and experience in conducting high-level political engagements.Oversee the strategic planning and execution of detailed work plans for ministerial conferences, ensuring activities are completed on time and to a high quality.
  • Provide policy briefs for high-level meetings with clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and materials working with the senior leadership.
  • Support the client in producing content for the project’s website, blog, and social media accounts.
  • Maintain project and stakeholder databases.
  • Support in organising high-level roundtables and events as part of the project pipeline.
  • Support in preparing delegation visits for the client of strategic importance that are aligned with the overall project and strategy.
  • Over-seeing the workload and management of the Project Assistant.

Client campaign management

  • Schedule, organise and manage calls and meetings with clients, including the preparation and distribution of the agenda, and track action items.
  • Support in the policy-background and discussions for meetings with help from policy research teams.
  • Manage senior stakeholders from across the health sector and align their vision and mission.
  • Prepare briefings, notes, reports and presentations which are sent on a regular basis.

  • Have excellent project management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task in communication with various stakeholders and accomplish tight deadlines.
  • Strong ability to make decisions and solve problems when they arise.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to manage relationships with senior partners, and a proficiency in building and maintaining stakeholder networks.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and showcase political and cultural sensibilities.
  • Have an excellent understanding of political advocacy and public affairs.
  • Have a good understanding of the global health industry and strong commitment towards global health, development issues, gender equality and the Sustainable Development Goals in general.
  • Ability to deliver strategic and proactive advice on client positioning based on policy developments and identify engagement opportunities that contribute to the clients short- and long-term objectives.
  • Experience of organising, assisting, or managing relevant events and meetings for clients.
  • Be a team player with the ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural and professional backgrounds.

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree and minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience, preferably in global/public health, international affairs, public policy and political sciences, international law.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Arabic is useful.
  • Proven experience in project management and client management and ability to use latest project management tools.
  • Experience having conducted/ or having been part of high-level ministerial events in the UK or abroad.
  • Exceptional research, writing and analytics skills, including the ability to synthesise information from different sources.
  • Exceptional level of computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, virtual conferencing systems and social media tools.
