RSK International Projects Group (IPG) part of RSK Group has been operating since 1996 and has a truly global reach, having worked on projects in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Papua New Guinea.Our highly experienced team offers a range of services including Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Management Plans, Stakeholder Engagement Plans, and Land Acquisition and Resettlement Frameworks. IPG has substantial experience working on offshore wind farms, solar power plants, pipelines, oil drilling sites, roads, and many more besides. IPG is accustomed to working to the highest of international standards, including IFC, EBRD, IEB, and World Bank performance standards.We are now hiring for a Graduate Environmental Consultant to join the team working full time out of either our Bristol or Helsby Office on a Hybrid basis. This role will be looking at a start date in September 2024, however open to those that can start earlier.Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting senior consultants with the co-ordination and production of screening reports, feasibility studies, scoping reports, environmental, social and health impact assessments (ESHIA’s) and environmental and social management plans
- Background desktop data collection on environmental and social issues
- Opportunities to undertake field data collection in the UK and abroad
- Assisting with production of proposals and tenders
- Assisting project managers with project administration and reporting (using MS Word and Excel).
Person Specification:
- A first class honours degree or 2:1 in a relevant subject
- A postgraduate qualification covering aspects of environmental and social impact assessment would be an advantage
- A desire to learn
- A willingness to travel, if required
- Competence in the use of Microsoft Office (in particular Word and Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work under own initiative
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, but additional language skills would be an advantage.
- Work experience in this field, or international work experience – desirable
