GCRI’s objectives include:
1. Global Knowledge Exchange: Creating a platform for interdisciplinary discussion and research on risk and resilience, fostering global collaboration among industry leaders, academics, policymakers, and practitioners
2. Standardization and Metrology: Developing and promoting standards and measurement practices to enhance the reliability and interoperability of risk management strategies.
3. Systems Innovation: Building tools, capacities and communities for the development and application of risk management technologies, standards, and innovation ecosystems.
4. Scholarly and Industry Publications: Publishing standards, reports, and scholarly articles to contribute to academic and practical discourse in risk management.
5. Liaison with Global Entities: Engaging with civil society and maintaining technical interactions with international entities to promote a unified approach to risk management challenges.
6. Advanced Study: Investigating fundamental and applied domains related to risk management, including natural and human-induced risks, and developing advanced tools for risk intelligence and emergency managementContext:The Global Risks Forum (GRF) is a premier international platform dedicated to identifying, analyzing, and mitigating the most pressing global risks that threaten societies, economies, and the environment. As part of the Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), GRF brings together experts, policymakers, industry leaders, and thought leaders worldwide to collaborate on sustainable solutions and strategic interventions. Through its ongoing media series, GRF disseminates critical insights and fosters global dialogue on climate change, public health, technological disruptions, and geopolitical tensions. Utilizing diverse digital platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, GRF effectively engages a broad audience, raising awareness and inspiring proactive actions toward resilience and sustainable development. By integrating multidisciplinary approaches and leveraging advanced technologies, GRF aims to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enhance global preparedness, and build a well-informed, proactive community capable of addressing and mitigating complex global challenges.Task type:Communication and social mediaTask description:1. Motion Graphics and Infographics Design
Volunteers Needed: 10
Weekly Deliverables: Each volunteer designs and produces 1 motion graphic or infographic every 5 weeks (4-6 per month total).Design and Produce Motion Graphics and Infographics: Create 4-6 engaging motion graphics and infographics monthly to complement video content, simplifying complex global risk concepts.
Ensure Branding Consistency: Adhere to GCRI’s branding and visual guidelines, maintaining consistency across all graphics and animations.2. Animation Development
Volunteers Needed: 10
Weekly Deliverables: Each volunteer develops 1 animation weekly.Develop Animations: Create animations that explain complex global risk concepts, ensuring timely completion to meet project deadlines.
Integrate Visual and Audio Elements: Collaborate with Videographers/Editors and Content Creators/Scriptwriters to seamlessly integrate animations into video content.3. Social Media and Digital Content Design
Volunteers Needed: 10
Weekly Deliverables: Each volunteer designs and schedules 2 social media posts or digital content pieces per week.Design for Social Media: Create visually appealing graphics and animations tailored for various social media platforms to increase engagement and outreach.
Digital Content Management: Ensure all digital content is optimized for web and social media, enhancing GRIx’s online presence and impact.Requirements:-Advanced proficiency in graphic design and animation software (Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop).
-Proven experience in motion graphics, animation, or graphic design for video production, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
-Strong ability to create smooth, engaging animations that enhance video storytelling.
-Expertise in designing visually appealing elements that explain complex concepts related to global risks.
-Experience with audio design and sound integration is a plus.
-Attention to detail to ensure all visual and audio elements are well-integrated and enhance overall video quality.
-Creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative visual solutions effectively communicating GRF’s messages.
-Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work closely with videographers/editors and scriptwriters.Work Hours: 11 – 15
