Job Title: Graphic DesignerJob Summary:Join us as a Graphic Designer to create impactful visuals for UNESCO reports and Everglades National Park projects. This role offers a chance to grow with FedWriters, gain valuable experience, and make a meaningful impact on environmental conservation.Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing a 90-page scientific report for UNESCO, incorporating text, tables, and graphics
  • Ensuring compliance with NPS branding standards and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to finalize the report design based on feedback
  • Providing updates and revisions as needed before the submission deadline
  • Developing five factsheets depicting key Everglades restoration and monitoring projects
  • Collaborating with SFNRC scientists to outline content and ensure accuracy
  • Designing factsheets with maps, graphics, and relevant information
  • Ensuring compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and NPS branding guidelines
  • Creating a branding package for SFNRC, including a presentation template and virtual meeting background images
  • Incorporating NPS brand identity standards into all deliverables
  • Facilitating virtual meetings with SFNRC staff to gather requirements and feedback
  • Ensuring compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and DOI guidelines

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Demonstrated experience in designing water- or natural resource-related materials
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design work, including infographics, branding, and layout design
  • Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards and WCAG 2.0 guidelines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 5+ years of professional graphic design experience
  • Experience working with government agencies or within environmental sectors

Work Setting and Environment:

  • Monday – Friday, normal working hours
  • Work is to be performed remotely
