Contribute to development of multiple Products for the UN Youth Office on Youth Engagement in the MENA Region Boosting meaningful youth participation in decision-making processes. Expected Outputs: Expected Outputs: 1. Design, layout and generate the reports on: a) Youth in Politics Measurement Tool (YiPT) – to be Piloted in the MENA Region; b) case study on advancing the Five-Year Strategy on Youth-Inclusive Peace Processes (YiPP) in MENA; c) study on Youth2030 and its priority area on ‘Youth, Peace, and Security’ in MENA and d) consultations and workshop reports and communications products including social media assets. 2. Design, layout and generate the draft and final version social media assets for study launch for: a) Youth in Politics Measurement Tool (YiPT) – to be Piloted in the MENA Region; b) case study on advancing the Five-Year Strategy on Youth-Inclusive Peace Processes (YiPP) in MENA; c) study on Youth2030 and its priority area on ‘Youth, Peace, and Security’ in MENA and d) consultations and workshop reports and communications products including social media assets.Work LocationRemoteExpected duration4.5 monthsDuties and ResponsibilitiesA. Background: On 8 September 2022, the General Assembly unanimously adopted resolution 76/306 to establish a UN Youth Office as a dedicated entity for youth affairs within the Secretariat. Among its responsibilities, the UN Youth Office is mandated to fostering meaningful youth engagement in policymaking and decision-making processes at different levels, including at the UN. As part of the UN Youth Office work, various products will be launched in 2025 across the work of its UN System-Wide Coordination and Accountability (UNSCA) and Partnership, Advocacy and Communications (PAC) Sections. Scope of Work: The graphic designer will lead the conceptualization, design, and layout of various products launching in 2025, including: 1. A Youth in Politics Measurement Tool (YiPT) – to be Piloted in the MENA Region. 2. Case study on advancing the Five-Year Strategy on Youth-Inclusive Peace Processes (YiPP) in MENA. 3. Study on Youth2030 and its priority area on ‘Youth, Peace, and Security’ in MENA 4. Consultations and workshop reports and communications products including social media assets.Qualifications/special skillsA first level university Degree or higher in art, graphic design or a related field is required. At least 2 years’ experience in design, producing youth-friendly/innovative design materials and creating publications in Adobe/ InDesign (or a similar programme) is required. Previous experience designing for accessibility is required. Experience in design illustration and animations is desirable. Knowledge of and experience in developing materials for social media is desirable.
