An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join our HANS team. This is a challenging but satisfying role. We are looking for a flexible, friendly, customer service focused and self-motivated administrator to join our busy multidisciplinary team.Applicants should ideally have previous NHS experience working in a fast paced environment, validation of pathways and an excellent understanding of confidentiality and data protection.The post holder will need to have good IT skills and be confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office packages including excel.Please note closing date is indicative, the advert will be closed early if there are high number of applications.Main duties of the jobThe HANS Administrator (HA) manages patient appointments and supports clinic operations.Referral Management:HA processes referrals by sending them to a clinician for review and manages scheduling the first appointment if accepted. Documentation is handled through DSX/EPR.Clinic Management:HA books patients into paper clinics for review, ensures outcomes are documented and diagrams are uploaded.Post Appointment:Working from a request list the HA schedules follow-up clinics and calls, confirming appointments via Envoy texts and letters.DNAs and Rescheduling:HA handles missed appointments (DNAs), assists with rescheduling, and updates clinicians if appointments are delayed.Clinic Cancellations:HA reschedules cancelled clinics, minimizing disruption to patients.Patient Records:HA scans, uploads, and manages documents in EPR/DSX, prepares clinic materials, and conducts monthly audits.Reception and General Admin:HA covers front desk duties when necessary, handles mail, and supports administrative tasks.18-week RTT Target:HA works with the HPC to meet targets, filling clinic slots efficiently.Team Collaboration:HA attends meetings, manages inboxes, and provides administrative support.About usHomerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a high performing and flourishing organisation serving the population of Hackney, East London, The City and beyond.We are extremely proud of the fact that Homerton Hospital has recently attained the highest possible rating of “Outstanding” from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).Our integrated Trust provides comprehensive hospital and community health services for its local population and a range of specialist services for a wider group of patients.
