The Engineering College of Technology (ECT) is thrilled to announce the expansion of our team with a new position: Head of College (Operations).ECT has recently been established and registered in the UK, and is a sister company of our Australian based operation, the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT). EIT is one of the only institutes in the world specialising in engineering education and training and delivers industry-driven professional development and accredited training to students in over 160 countries through our unique online and on-campus delivery methodologies.EIT enrol over 1800 students per year, with more than 9000 EIT graduates globally. With over 30 years of association with the engineering industry worldwide, providing professional development and offering over 85 engineering courses, EIT is renowned for delivering high-quality engineering education and training across the globe.As we continue to grow, we are excited to branch out in the UK with the establishment of the Engineering College of Technology to offer UK accredited qualifications (currently pending Degree Awarding Powers (DAPs) approval with the Office for Students) and are seeking passionate and talented individuals to join our dedicated team to establish, manage and drive our expansion in the United Kingdom.Position: Head of College (Operations)The Head of College (Operations) will serve as the Chief Executive and Principal Managerial and Administrative Head of ECT. This administrative role is responsible for the day-to-day management and direction of the overall operations of the College. Please note that this is not an Academic role.Responsibilities:
- Take primary responsibility for the management of the affairs of the College as the accountable officer on management and administrative matters relating to human resources, health, safety, wellbeing, and risk management.
- Provide strategic leadership within and on behalf of the College and drive the implementation of the strategic and business plans of the College, as well as innovation for growth.
- Establish and oversee effective monitoring and evaluation systems for continuous improvement of learning and teaching in adherence to internal policies and procedures and external regulatory requirements and for maintaining the highest standards of integrity, objectivity, and honesty in the execution of all responsibilities.
- Manage the College funds in accordance with delegated authority within the financial regulations, including the authorisation of payments, and ensure that the College is well managed financially to ensure its financial sustainability.
- Serve as the designated accountable officer to the Office for Students in all matters relating to the registration of the College and the use of any public funding the College receives.
- Maintain strong governance structures, leadership teams, and management arrangements within the College, including chairing regular meetings with the management team to proactively deal with matters relating to the management, administration, and financial well-being of the institution.
- Manage the full- and part-time managerial, academic, administrative, and support staff of the College.
- Promote the best interests of the College by building constructive and positive relationships with key external stakeholders in industry, academia, and regulatory bodies.

- Degree qualified
- Demonstrated, in-depth experience in a similar role.
- Self-motivated and able to confidently lead and grow the team.
- Strong strategic planning and organisational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management.
- Able to work autonomously with remote teams.
- Adaptable with a ‘Can Do’ attitude, you must be able to deal effectively with challenges and setbacks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
