We are currently looking for a Head of Global Sourcing & Procurement. This a chance to join a very stable environment as these roles already existed in New York before the move. They have a number of positions to fill and are hoping many will be excited to be a part of their new start in Montreal.The Role and the team:
The Global Sourcing & Procurement (“GSP”) team is in charge of managing the central sourcing & procurement functions bank-wide, as well as the Vendor Management Program. In addition, GSP has responsibility over the Accounts Payable function for IT and management of outsourcing/ offshoring initiatives.The bank is looking for a manager for its team responsible for managing invoices on behalf of the IT department, and consulting fees for other departments. In addition, the manager will be supporting the sourcing of contingent labor (Request For Proposal managed through a dedicated procurement tool), the on-boarding and off-boarding of temporary resources and maintenance of the relationship with Canadian providers. The employee will report locally to the CFO of the bank in Canada, and will report regionally to the person responsible for contingent labor, T&E, and invoice management within GSP Americas based in the USA. The position is part of the Global Sourcing and Procurement department reporting into the Chief Operating Officer of the Finance Division of the bank’s Americas. The person will be attending and participating to weekly meetings of the teams reporting to the banks’s Americas COO.Title: Head of Global Sourcing & Procurement

Salary: 124k. 4-5 weeks vacation. They offer a great benefits package. RRSP matching, you contribute 2% and they contribute 8%.

- The person will also produce regular reporting and analyze the data related to T&E, contingent labor, subscription, and other topics needed to monitor and managed those external expenses.
- The candidate has an experience in management of similar functions and experience in sourcing and procurement of temporary resources.
- The candidate is autonomous. He/she has a strong sense of ethics and is well organized and has shown its capacity to develop and maintain adequate policies and procedures and audit trails. It is able to communicate clearly with internal and external parties. The candidate is able to manage and learn new technologies and has a strong knowledge of MS Excel and Power Point.
- He/she has experience with invoice management and has notions of accounting and accounts payables allowing it to oversee the invoice management team.
- He/She is fluent in English and French to support the internal customers and be able to communicate with Head Office in case of potential problems with the procurement tool.
Contingent Labor management:
- Manage and coordinate temporary and consultant sourcing and extension process on the bank’s procurement platform “EASY” (Ivalua)
- Ensuring SOW contracts are fully executed by authorized signers, tracked, and uploaded into the system.
- Communicating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth extension process.
- Training new users on the EASY platform and troubleshooting any issues existing users encounter.
Data analysis:
- Generate, analyze synthesize and visualize data from various platforms and tools for the purpose of management reporting.
- Maintaining source data mappings for reporting using various systems including Concur, Prenax, and Business Objects.
- Provide expense monitoring reporting and KPI’s and perform reconciliations.
Accounts Payable.
- Oversee and support the invoice management team
Your qualifications:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, willing to learn, strong excel and access skills and presentation skills, is detail oriented, and have the capacity to understand and explain complex processes.
- Bachelor Degree in Business and Administration, Accounting, Finance.
- 5-7 years’ experience in similar procurement functions is required.
- Previous experience in managing invoices.
- Experience with onboarding in highly regulated activity.
- Strong communication skills and experience in a client-facing environment.
- Ivalua P2P or similar procurement tool experience is a plus.
- MS Office Suite (Excel and Power Point advanced proficiency).
- Fluent in French and English.
