The Opportunity
This role is an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead Trócaire’s humanitarian work. Humanitarian response is a key element of Trócaire’s mandate with over 50% of programme funds spent supporting humanitarian interventions each year. You will focus on ensuring Trócaire’s capacity to implement quality humanitarian programming in up to 20 countries and work in a position where you will add value and help to change millions of lives around the world.

Requirements
You will report to the Director Global Programmes.The job opportunity will be offered on a permanent for indefinite duration and is based in Ireland. As part of your role, you will manage a team of (number) professionals.
We’d love if you have International experience of leading and managing the humanitarian function of an international organisation and can provide strategic guidance and direction to Trócaire humanitarian mandate. We are looking for an individual who can provide strong leadership, clear decision making and effective management expertise in a fast-paced environment. External representation and policy influencing are also essential elements of this role together with enabling collaboration and profiling of Trócaires humanitarian work.
