As an investor-focused NGO, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of advancements in green finance, collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including governments, investors, banks, and large corporations.Our commitment to sustainability and innovation has positioned us as leaders in the field, having developed one of the only certification schemes for green bonds globally. We provide up-to-the-minute green bond data, market analysis, and policy advice, while also advocating for ambitious change within the financial industry.In your role as the Head of PMO, you will be instrumental in driving the successful implementation of our projects while cultivating a collaborative atmosphere that aligns with our mission.You will take charge of shaping our target operating model and will be responsible for the ongoing enhancement of the PMO framework, which encompasses best practices, methodologies, tools, and governance to ensure uniformity and standardisation in project management throughout the organisation.Ideally, you will possess extensive experience in overseeing and managing multifaceted, multi-year large-scale global programs. This experience should encompass the ability to coordinate various moving parts, integrate diverse stakeholder interests, and implement governance across different geographical locations, ensuring the successful execution and alignment with industry standards and best practice.Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address project risks and issues promptly.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project success and organizational objectives.
- Mentor and support project managers and team members to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project management, preferably within an NGO
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems effectively.
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
- Budget, resourcing and cost analysis experience
