This is a key leadership role in the SME banking leadership team, primarily responsible for developing the SME banking product risk culture, governance, policy, controls and MI, to help ensure good outcomes for customers. Additionally, this role also involves supporting the SME segment’s financial crime and operational risk objectives.Key responsibilities:
- Own the deposit and fee income P&L for SME banking, ensuring timely commercial analysis, balance sheet management and pricing
- Develop a compelling vision, innovative value proposition, customer acquisition and retention strategy
- Ensure Customer Solutions provides Product teams with SME segment expertise across areas as diverse as BCAs, Savings/Deposit products, Subscriptions, Partnerships, Merchant Acquiring, Accountancy and Foreign Exchange.
- Understanding e2e customer journeys and funnels to improve customer experience
- Orchestrate the design, build, test, and launch of new customer solutions
- Own 1st line product risk management through the product lifecycle (i.e. design, build, test, launch, onboard, in life, exit)
- Engage effectively with key parts of the Bank including Product/Tech, Finance, Marketing, Operation, Legal, 2nd and 3rd line.
- Ensure a strong 1st line product risk culture
- Ensure good outcomes for customers through appropriate governance
- Build and empower a strong customer solution and performance driven team that is inclusive, ambitious and engaged
- Ensure performance is monitored + growth ambitions and OKRs are tracked and met
- Create and maintain the Product Roadmap
Requirements:
- Proven extensive experience in a senior leadership role within Business/SME banking
- Track record of P&L management, delivering revenue growth, and launching new products safely
- Understanding of control and regulatory environments and experience of managing risk and compliance
- Customer orientation – excited and driven by the opportunity to better understand small businesses and their needs and building e2e journeys and solutions for them
- Experience of building and launching financial products
