Health and Safety Administrator – DublinOptimize Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client, a renowned leader in the construction industry, seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Health and Safety Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will support the Health and Safety Manager in implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and promoting a safe working environment across the organization.Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessments: Assist in conducting comprehensive risk assessments tailored to various work environments and activities.
  • Incident Investigation: Support in the investigation of workplace incidents, accurately documenting findings, and suggesting preventive measures.
  • Training Coordination: Help develop and organize training programs to enhance employee safety awareness and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Safety Inspections: Perform regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update health and safety documentation, including policies, procedures, and training records.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company complies with current health and safety regulations, assisting in the implementation of any necessary changes.
  • Communication: Liaise with various departments to address safety concerns and provide support for safety-related inquiries.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on health and safety activities, incident statistics, and compliance status.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Health and Safety Manager, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing health and safety events.

Key Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in English: Strong skills in report writing and documentation.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with employees and management.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within construction industry
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and First Aid Training are advantageous.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.

Salary and Conditions:

  • Salary: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional additional hours as needed.
  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional travel to various worksites.
  • Benefits: 21 days of annual leave, company phone, and laptop provided. Access to a company vehicle and fuel card for work-related travel.
