We are pleased to have exclusively partnered with an established college group to recruit a new Health and Safety Manager to the growing SHE team.Reporting to the Vice Principal, you will be leading and managing health and safety across the group to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for staff and students.Why this could be an excellent opportunity for you:

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with current Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation across the group
  • Line managing a team of three in Health and Safety and safety testing
  • Work alongside management to identify health and safety requirements and ensure standards are met
  • Assist and provide guidance on risk assessment and approving risk assessment documentation
  • Investigate and report on all accidents and incidents within the college where required
  • Carrying out Health, Safety, and Environmental audits and supporting management in making improvements where needed

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification as a minimum
  • The ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
  • Experience carrying out Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEPs) is highly desirable
  • Management experience is preferred, or the ability to step into a management role
  • Experience working in a variety of environments / risk profiles
