Staff are supported and encouraged to develop areas of special interest as required by the service.Date posted14 November 2024Pay schemeOtherSalaryDepending on experienceContractPermanentWorking patternPart-time, Flexible working, Annualised hoursReference numberA1546-24-0001Job locationsAlcester RoadStratford-upon-avonWarwickshireCV37 6PPJob descriptionJob responsibilities1.To undertake all duties in line with the training and instruction provided by the Practice Nurse and General Practitioners.2.Assistance at clinics ensuring patient care by chaperoning and assisting patients to dress and undress.3.To provide phlebotomy services for patients as required4.Conduct weight and height measurements, test and record blood pressure and blood sugar levels.5.The testing and result recording of clinical specimens.6.Provide assistance in minor operations ensuring patient care by chaperoning.7.Taking and preparing of pathology samples.8.Undertake ECG and Spirometry testing.9.Assist with the provision of health checks for both newly registered patients and the over 75s.10.Carry out routine patient dressings in accordance with practice guidelines.11.The collection of clinical waste, ensuring appropriate storage prior to disposal.12.To ensure adequate clinical stock levels and medical stationery and maintain an effective stock management system.13.Ensure adequate stock levels in stock room, treatment rooms, fridges and cupboards.14.The checking and recording of medical supplies on receipt.15.Receiving telephone messages in the treatment room, recording and transmitting accordingly.16.The development and maintenance of the themed notice boards within the practice.17.The inputting of information onto the Practice clinical system.18.Use of the Practice clinical system for patient searches for clinics and patient recall.19.The ongoing cleaning and sterilisation of clinical equipment and working surfaces, preparing treatment rooms prior to use.20.Ensure adequate infection control procedures in treatment and consulting rooms.21.This job description is not exhaustive and may be adjusted periodically after review and consultation.
