Our Endoscopy Unit based at Prince Philip Hospital is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic, forward thinking Health Care Support Worker to join our Endoscopy team.The post is part time 22.5 hours per week.The Endoscopy unit has a friendly supportive environment, which is strongly focused on teamwork and patient care. It provides diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services for both inpatients and outpatients. We are currently running 5 days a week. It has two procedure rooms and is continuing to undergo further development to achieve JAG accreditation.Main duties of the jobResponsible for assisting in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Gastroenterology, Respiratory and Urology along with administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the lists.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.Interviews to be held on 18/02/2025About usHywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.   • Clear understanding of patient and goods transport

  • Qualification Credit Framework – QCF Diploma Level 3 (formally NVQ Level 3 (Health) -OR- equivalent experience and be prepared to work towards achieving the QCF Diploma
  • Level 3 in Health within one year of appointment -OR- ILM Level 3 -OR- Equivalent qualification such as E-learning modules
  • Decontamination training and certificated training
  • Maintain their personal development
  • Recognises need for lifelong learning
