The RoleThe purpose of this post is to lead and support continued activity directly relating to NHS Lanarkshire’s implementation of Part 9, Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, and The Promise Plan.Working with strategic professional leadership, the post holder will advise, develop, and deliver corporate parenting approaches shaped by health’s primary functions, and informed by the need, views and experiences of care experienced children, young people, families, and adults to improve how the organisation thrives to support best outcomes while fulfilling their statutory roles and responsibilities.The post holder will:Continue to develop, implement, monitor and review the NHSL Corporate Parenting Plan to improve outcomes for care experienced children, young people and adults.Bring lived experience, commitment and dedication to ensure the needs of care experienced children, young people and care leavers remain at the heart of all we do.Employ a range of engagement and participation skills and activities with care experienced children, young people and care leavers ensuring their voice is heard.Advocate a leadership culture which is rights based, trauma informed and applies values of care, attachment, and attunement.Provide support and advice to a range of relevant governance committees and groups, introducing and implementing service changes that impact across NHSL.Provide support and information to relevant strategic meetings and a range of reports to ensure the delivery of NHSL’s responsibilities in all areas of corporate parenting.Oversee the production and co-ordination of annual work plans for NHSL’s Promise Group.Represent NHSL Promise Group on organisational groups and relevant partnership groups, maintaining linkages and ensuring latest guidance/legislative compliance is adhered to across NHSL.Ensure compliance and provide consultancy/ training on best practice across the organisational workforce on corporate parenting responsibilities and delivery of The Promise.Plan activities in partnership according to The Promise principles and practice, national and local priorities and needs, and available resources, whilst considering the priorities, practices and resources of partners.NHS LanarkshireHave you always wanted to work with NHS Lanarkshire?
